World in Need the Crowborough-based international charity, which helps some of the poorest communities in Africa and Asia, are holding a 10-day conference in the town.
Every 3-4 years the Christian charity invite their partners from around 20 countries to Crowborough. This year they are expecting more than 30 guests from countries like Kenya, Sierra Leone, Afghanistan and the Philippines.
World in Need believe the right leadership is the key to transformations in the developing world. At the conference in Crowborough guests will learn new skills and make plans for the future. The theme of the conference will be “Building up Future Leaders”.
The international visitors will be hosted by local families in and around Crowborough.
Each night, two of their international partners will present their work. These nights are open for anyone to attend, and there is no need to book places (except Quiz Night). They are held at All Saints Church (downstairs) from 7.30 until 8.30pm.
