White Hart is being made ‘all shiny & new’

Work has begun on the refurbishment this morning (Tuesday 1st).  The pub will be part of Stonegate’s Classic Inn portfolio. Customers will be able to have drink with family and friends or sit down for a meal.  These venues are described on their website as ‘known for their traditional pub values and modern, stylish environments – for that more refined dining experience’.

The work should be completed by the end of the month with the pub re-opening on Friday 2nd October.  It has been reported elsewhere that the refurb is costing £500,000.

Stonegate have applied for minor changes to the existing licence including:

  • Change name of premises
  • Confirm proper postcode
  • Minor changes to ground floor layout

And it is Hart with no e!

  1. Let’s hope they reserve part of what is a very large building, for 14-17 year old teenagers, who have nothing for them in Crowborough.

A separate ‘bar’ for coffee, juice and soft drinks/ice cream with a ‘juke box’ would be great and I am sure it would be profitable.
