As the county endures the wettest winter in 20 years, reports of potholes have surged. East Sussex Highways crews have fixed more than three times the number last winter.
A request to extend the 30 miles limit along the A26 Eridge Road past Goldsmiths has been dismissed by the East Sussex Highways.

Morrisons have moved the position of the pole sign at the petrol station in Crowborough to be closer to the A26 without first obtaining planning permission.
At the end of October Green Lane in Crowborough will be closed to through traffic for a week whilst highway contractors resurface the road.
