Saying thank you to NHS staff and carers

During the first lockdown Fi Kelly from Crowborough distributed toiletries to local NHS staff.  This time, she’s widened the range of items to include things like snacks, drinks, hand creams and lip balms, and is collecting for carers as well as people who work for the NHS.

Drinks and snacks

People are working full time in PPE and they get hot, thirst, sticky and sore lipped and have to then remove all their PPE just to grab a drink from a machine – which they have to pay for.

I’m trying to get a box of goodies out to all the local NHS workers and care home staff to let them know that we are hugely appreciative of all they have done and are doing for us, and to give them a boost.

The list of things donated by the community, includes chocolate, cakes, biscuits, drinks, snacks (to boost their energy during work) and lip balm, hand cream, as well as anything they can use at home to pamper themselves after a long and arduous shift.

We can’t even thank our amazing heroes ourselves for all they are doing now and will continue to do in the future but maybe we can ease their work shift a bit for them and let them know we are way more than appreciative.
