A planning application has been submitted to convert the building where the Crowborough Bath Shop is located into flats.

Melbourne House is next to the Bricklayer’s Arms on Whitehill Road. The adjoining building, which was Crowborough Conservative Club, was recently converted into apartments. The front is two storeys high with a dormer, and because of the slope of the site, the building has four storeys high at the rear. Currently there is a 2-bed flat on the second floor.
The proposal is to create four new 1-bed flats and two additional 2-bed flats. Parking for seven cars would be provided in the rear yard with access from Harecombe Rise.
The planning application is for change of use and permission to build a three storey extension to the rear. Click on the reference number to see the application. Comments can be submitted to the planning authority until 16th September (Ref: WD/2022/2033/F).
