Sussex Police has donated £300 to Clued-up.info, an information shop for young people based in Crowborough.
The money will be used to replace items damaged in a serious flood that hit their premises on The Broadway last year. Clued-up.info helps young people aged between 11 and 25, access information and confidential advice on many different subjects, including education and training, housing and welfare, alcohol and drug awareness, plus much more.
Lorna Watson, manager of Clued-up.info, said:
We have a really good relationship with the neighbourhood officers in Crowborough and this donation will greatly assist our work with young people. We have been working hard to get things replaced since the flood, which nearly wiped us out last year, so this money is extremely welcome.
PCSO Hannah Williams said:
Clued-up.info does fantastic work with young people in the town and surrounding area, and this donation is a thank you for their dedication and support.
The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
