As the club enters the new season in a new league, the Southern Counties East Football League, Chairman Tony Bowen said:

Chris Ransome has been a player with the club from youth football and was an integral part of the first team squad last season and we are delighted he is keen to put something back into the club he has been with, and played for, over many years.

I’ve been playing at Crowborough Athletic FC for 15 years and will finish my playing career here and hopefully, one day, go on to manage the first team.  It’s a great honour to have my company as the main sponsor and I intend to keep it that way for many years to come.

His company’s logo will be feature of the front of the first team’s shirts.

Parkinson's UK LogoIn other CAFC news: Mark Irvine will be joining the Club as goalkeeping coach.  The Club say they were lucky to get someone as experienced as Mark, particularly as he’d also received offers from other clubs, some more senior.  Mark was Assistant Manager at Lordswood FC last season in the Southern Counties East Football League.  Over the years, Mark has played for a number of Kent Club’s including Maidstone United, and he has also represented Kent County and the Spartan League during his time.

It has also been announced Parkinson’s UK is to be the chosen charity for the 2014/15 season.  The club, in conjunction with the charity, will be running various events throughout the season to raise awareness and as much money as possible to support the excellent work the charity carries out.

Sadly, because of the lack of a coach/manager to replace Gary King, the Club has had to withdrawn the Under 24 Squad from the East Sussex Football League.
