Crowborough Community Centre is planning a phased re-opening of its facilities, now that the Government has given the green light to community groups meeting again after the coronavirus lockdown.

From Saturday (25th July), the Centre will open for a limited number of days each week dependent on demand. Initially only the Main Hall will be used where social distancing is much easier to achieve. However, there are plans and protocols to bring into use the lower floor rooms as soon as this is practical.
The management team and a special Covid-19 Task Group of Trustees have been working hard to put in place all the measures needed to ensure a safe return for Centre users and staff, including carrying out a comprehensive risk assessment and drawing up guidelines for user groups. The risk assessment and additional terms and conditions of hire related to Coronavirus can be viewed on the Community Centre’s website www.crowboroughcentre.info.
Crowborough Community Association Chairman, Mrs Chantal Wilson said:
We want to keep everyone as safe as possible so when we welcome back users we will ensure
that government safety guidelines are strictly followed. When you come to the Centre, things will be a little different from normal. You will see hand sanitisers, well space seating, a one-way entry and
exiting system and staff wearing masks.
Leaders of groups wishing to return to the Community Centre are asked to make contact only by phone on 01892 653823 or email at info@crowboroughcentre.info. They are asked not to call in as only people who have booked to attend an activity are being admitted for the time being.
Regrettably, bookings for some activities cannot be accepted at the moment, particularly parties and live performances. Nor can the Gallery Café be opened for the time being.
