Witnesses wanted after a pedestrian’s foot was broken in Rotherfield

Police are seeking the driver of a dark coloured Land Rover Freelander, or similar vehicle, which failed to stop after colliding with a pedestrian in Rotherfield on Monday (6th June).

The incident occurred shortly after 9am outside the florist’s shop near the junction of the High Street and  Church Road.

A 52-year-old man from Sandhurst in Kent, was treated at Pembury Hospital for a broken foot.

The motorist failed to stop and police now want to talk to that person or to anyone who may have seen what happened and who has not yet come forward.
