Partial closure of Beacon Academy

In the absence of a directive from the Government,  Beacon Academy has decided that because of Coronavirus and reduced staffing levels, from tomorrow (Wednesday) the school will be partially closed.

Beacon Academy main gate North Beeches Road in Crowborough

Students in Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 will be required to work from home.

Students in Years 11 and 13, not self-isolating, are still required to attend.

In an email to parents today, Headteacher Anna Robinson said in the first instance they intend to continue with these arrangements until the end of this week.

Students of families that work in the NHS or care sector

Parents and carers that work in front line roles in the NHS, or are employed in care professions are advised to notify the school if they would like their children (in all year groups) to continue attending school. Parents in this position should follow the link on the school’s website to complete a form by 7am tomorrow (Wednesday).
