A planning application has been submitted to convert Craven House on Croft Road into a veterinary practice.
For over 50 years the building has been used as a mower repair shop. The recent Directors of Mower Services (South East) Peter and Karen Melhuish entered into voluntary liquidation in June 2017. The building is still owned by the Stiller family who live in Buxted.
Rachael Nair, who runs The Forest Vet in Maresfield, wants to convert the former mower sales and servicing workshop, so it has three consulting rooms, two operating theatres and an x-ray imaging room. There will be a staff room and offices on the first floor. There is parking for up to six cars on the forecourt. The practice is advertising for a small animal vet.
The public have until the end of the month to comment on the planning application (Ref: WD/2017/2864/F): www.planning.wealden.gov.uk.
