Crowborough Cabs have introduced a new dispatch and phone system which enables customers to track their taxis’ position.
Manager Ash Goldsmith (pictured) said:
We aim to provide the best service for our customers and consider their safety.
Our new system means no more waiting outside in the cold or the rain. Customers will receive a text message when their driver is en route, and another one when their taxi has arrived.
Additional benefits include customers being given the full details of their driver and the vehicle’s registration, to provide extra reassurance to the public. This also means no more getting into the wrong taxi at busy locations, like outside the station or at the supermarket.
With the tracking system, customers will receive a text message containing a link enabling them to follow the position of their taxi.
Customers also have the chance to leave feedback after every journey.
A mobile phone booking app will be released in due course.
In relation to the current difficult situation, Ash said:
We are also assisting our vulnerable customers with essential supplies and deliveries during the Coronavirus outbreak. Crowborough Cabs have female staff to assist those who prefer a woman driver.
