‘Prices start at £450,000′. For a two bed home? Not exactly first time buyer bait then. Usual thing. Crowborough continues to become a middle class, middle age ghetto . Hardly any social housing, and even those in their 30s hoping to stop renting and buy at last are excluded. Who will buy these new houses? Those coming from even more expensive areas who have made plenty from their sale to easily afford this kind of development. And estate agents no doubt are rubbing their hands with glee. More crowded roads, doctors’ surgeries, station platforms in rush hour, schools, high street (if any is left after Covid), and all the misery of a town extended beyond its capacity to absorb, without the infrastructure increased proportionately. And Wealden Planning North in the meantime will pour on more and more of this.
