Murder mystery offers a ‘Killer Performance’

The Crowborough Players in partnership with Crowborough’s town twinning organisation, the Friends of Montargis, are holding a fundraising murder mystery – Killer Performance – in May at the Crowborough Community Centre.

The murder mystery will raise money for 50th anniversary celebrations in Crowborough in 2016, marking a half a century of cultural exchange with the town of Montargis in France. Some of the proceeds will also go towards new props and sets for The Crowborough Players, who are the resident theatre group at the Crowborough Community Centre.

Director George Thomas, who also wrote Killer Performance says that the grisly murder portrayed in a Crowborough theatre group has no parallels with real life:

Of course things can get a bit stressful when we are running up to a show, but thankfully it just results in a few well chosen words, and never murder! It was great fun to write and I am sure the audience will enjoy the detective work.

Killer Performance is at 7.45pm on Friday 8 May and Saturday 9 May. Tickets are £14 with a meal included. Tables of eight are available, and people are encouraged to get a team together if they can.  There will be a licenced bar running throughout.

Tickets can be obtained from The Crowborough Players website or by phoning the box office on 01892 300567. Some tickets for both nights are also available from Guests Shoes on Crowborough High Street.
