Update: The School will remain two-form entry for the forthcoming school year and the mobile classroom is not required.
East Sussex County Council has applied for permission to install a mobile classroom at Whitehill Infant School in Crowborough.
The planning application says because of rising pupil numbers the temporary classroom is required. Whitehill on Luxford Road will be merging with Herne School to form Ashdown Primary School next academic year. East Sussex County Council, as the Education Authority, want permission for the mobile classroom for the next 5 years. The proposed building will be located on an area of grassland adjacent to the main school building on the eastern side of the site.
