Update at 5pm: Water returning to customers premises.
Some homes and businesses in Crowborough are experiencing low water pressure this afternoon (Tuesday 20th January). South East Water have apologised to customers for the inconvenience. They have said they have technicians on site trying to fix the problem.
Regional Production Manager Kevin Clark said:
We believe that unforeseen problems during routine maintenance work at a storage reservoir in Crowborough has caused a number of properties in the area to go without water or have low water pressure since earlier this afternoon. Our technicians are working hard to fix the problem as soon as possible.
We would like to apologise to our customers who are affected and thank them for their patience.
We anticipate all water supplies will be back to normal shortly.
