Interim Headteacher appointed at Jarvis Brook School

Update: Following an inspection on 3rd & 4th November 2015 the school as now been rated as ‘good’ and there is a recommendation that it comes out of special measures.  More information to follow.  In the meantime, you can read the inspection report here.


Staff and governors at Jarvis Brook Primary School have pledged to work together to ensure rapid improvement in pupil outcomes and teaching standards after a recent Ofsted Inspection said the school was inadequate and placed it in ‘special measures’.

Jarvis-Brook-School2An Interim Headteacher, Jacqueline Zadeh, has now been appointed by the local authority in consultation with the Governing Body.  In a statement, the school said:

The staff and governors are determined and committed to moving the school forward rapidly.  It has always been the vision of the school to provide the very best for all pupils and we aim to be judged as good within a year.  We have a clear, robust support plan which builds on the areas of good practice.
