Increased police patrols

Sussex Police have said that both day time and night time patrols have been increased, following recent burglaries targeting sheds, garages and farm outbuilding across North Wealden.

Among the recent burglaries were garages on the Montargis estate in Crowborough.

Personal items, along with fishing equipment, was stolen when a row of garages on Montargis Way were broken into late evening on Monday (2nd).

Police were called at around 10pm and officers attended and spoke to witnesses at the scene. A good description and a potential registration number of a suspect vehicle have been obtained by the victims, and police enquiries continue.

An attempted garage break also occurred over the period from Sunday 1st to the Tuesday 3rd December when homeowners at a property off Kemps Farm Road, noticed their garage door had been damaged in an attempt to gain entry.
