Crowborough has just renewed its Fairtrade status first awarded in 2008 by the Fairtrade Foundation.
To hold Fairtrade status, towns must serve Fairtrade tea and coffee at meetings and in offices, sell products in local shops and coffees, encourage schools, churches and workplaces to switch to Fairtrade products and obtain media coverage.
The competition to encourage you to see how many Fairtrade products you can put on your breakfast table.
To enter, all you need to do is arrange your breakfast table to show as many Fairtrade goods as prominently as possible, take a picture using a digital camera or smartphone, and email it to CrowboroughFairtrade@gmail.com
At the end of Fairtrade Fortnight they’ll judge the snaps, and whoever took the one which shows the most creativity will win a Fairtrade hamper.
Fairtrade Fortnight begins on the 29th February this year, and ends on the 13th March. You can find a list of shops and restaurants selling Fairtrade products on their website. See their website for the full T&Cs.
