At 11am on 11 November 2018, 100 years since Armistice, bells will ring out in unison from churches and cathedrals across the country.
Acts of Remembrance
11.00: Commemoration at the War Memorial at Chapel Green.
2.00pm: A parade will assemble at the Croft Road car park, stepping off at 2.20pm for the War Memorial.
2.30pm: Act of Remembrance and wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial.
10.30am: St Michael and All Angels’ Church, Jarvis Brook.
3.00pm: Service of Remembrance at All Saints Church, Chapel Green.
On the evening of 11th November, the names of those who lost their lives will be read aloud and, as part of the national tribute, the Beacon at Goldsmiths Recreation Ground will be lit and the last post sounded.
