The Crowborough Branch of the Royal British Legion is to hold a Centenary Festival of Remembrance for Crowborough on Saturday 10th November at All Saints Church.
The first half will feature the Wadhurst Brass Band in concert accompanied by the Crowborough ‘Singing for Fun’ Choir.
The second half of the festival will be conducted jointly by Branch Chaplain The Reverend Alan Weaver and The Reverend Steve Rees, Vicar of All Saints. The combined choirs of St. Michael and All Angels and All Saints Churches will lead the choral element of the service.
The festival will, as far as possible, replicate that held annually at the Royal Albert Hall. Crowborough’s Air Training Corps and Army Cadets together will Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets from Tunbridge Wells will provide The Muster and buglers from Cadet Training Ship “TS Brilliant” in Tunbridge Wells will sound the Reveille and Last Post. Poppy Petals will fall during the two minute silence.
Entry is free and there will be an exit collection. Souvenir Programmes will be available at £2 each – all surplus receipts will be donated to the 2018 Poppy Appeal.
