Crowborough Bonfire and Carnival Society

Crowborough Bonfire & Carnival Society’s fete and torchlit procession this year takes takes place on Saturday 14th September 2019. Fete on Chapel Green during the afternoon and procession around Crowborough during the evening.

  • Arena Displays and Entertainment
  • Children’s & Adults Fancy Dress Competitions
  • Torchlight Procession
  • Bucket collection for local charities
  • Children’s Funfair
  • Crowning of the 2019 Princess & Page Boy

Events start on Chapel Green at 1.30pm.  The torchlit procession leaves Chapel Green at 7.30pm.

See the Official Carnival programme for full details, including the route of the torchlit procession.  The Carnival programme is now available from Phillips Man’s Shops, Cro Jewellers, Field-Buss Newsagents, Zest, Blu Barbers, Jarvis Brook Bakery, Poundfield Post Office and other outlets in the area.

Road Closures and Diversions:  There will be some road closures in the town to allow the procession to pass safely.  After 2pm the 28/29 bus service will operate via the A26 Beacon Road and as a consequence will not service Hurtis Hill, Whitehill Road, Croft Road and the High Street.  The 228/229 will operate via Crowborough hill and will not be able to serve Queens Road and Montargis Way.
