Competitions at Golf Club spoit by break-in

Sunday the 19th April saw a flurry of activity at Crowborough Beacon Golf Club.  In the morning the club played Piltdown Golf Club in a four ball better ball competition.  After a closely fought match Crowborough emerged the victors with a 5-2 win.

Crowborough Beacon Golf Course Club HouseIn the afternoon mixed pairs played for the Jubilee Cup, an annual Greensomes competition.  In first place were Peter De Wit and Sue De Wit with 42 points closely followed by Helen Brown and Andrew Corbett with 40 points.  In third place were John Hoadley and Vicky McLean with 39 points.

On Monday the 20th April Crowborough seniors also played Piltdown Golf Club and after a most enjoyable match managed a 7-2 win.

Unfortunately the weekend enjoyment was spoiled by a break in at the green keepers sheds when several items of valuable equipment were stolen.
