Starting next week there will be overnight road closures on the B2100 at the bottom of Crowborough Hill to repair broken and blocked pipes.
East Sussex Highways have said by carrying out this work they hope to prevent the drainage system becoming overwhelmed during heavy rain and prevent erosion of the road surface.
During the following dates the road will be closed between 8pm and 4am between Victoria Road and Coller Mews:
Monday 31st October to Friday 11th November – This section of Crowborough Hill will be closed each night (no weekend working).
Monday 5th December to Saturday 10th December – This section of Crowborough Hill will be closed each night.
For seven weeks from Monday 31st October 31 and Friday 16th December there will be temporary traffic lights in operation during the daytime.
Overnight closures will help to minimise disruption on this busy road and temporary lights will removed during the day whenever possible. We would ask the public to bear with us while we carry out this essential work.East Sussex Highways
