Sussex Police donate £200 to Crowborough disability group

Crowborough Police have donated £200 to the Crowborough Group of  East Sussex Disability Association (ESDA) to help support their monthly outings.

ESDA volunteer services co-ordinator Marianne Colliard said:

We really appreciate the donation from the Crowborough Neighbourhood Policing Team towards the programme of accessible outings in 2015.

The group is run and supported by disabled volunteers and the outings provide an opportunity for local disabled people to get out and about and enjoy companionship and support.

The Crowborough Group meet generally on the first Wednesday of every month and enjoy lunches at venues not too far away.

PCSO Ruth Parnell-Mace said:

ESDA Crowborough does vital work to empower and support disabled people in an area that covers Crowborough, Hartfield, Rotherfield, Mayfield and Withyham. I am very proud that Sussex Police has been able to make a donation to such a worthy organisation.

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
