Crowborough woman arrested after fatal collision


Sussex Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision between a car and a motorcycle on the A26 at Eridge Green last night (Tuesday 23rd).

At 10.10pm emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a blue Ford KA and a black Sinnis Apachi motorcycle at the junction with Groombridge Lane.

The motorcyclist, a 24-year-old man from Tonbridge, was taken to Kings College Hospital, in London, where he later sadly died.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any dashcam footage of the vehicles to make contact them online or by calling 101 quoting reference Operation Sound.

A 24-year-old woman from Crowborough has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She remains in custody at this time while the investigation is ongoing.
