Pupils at St John’s CE Primary School are asking members of the community for artefacts, stories and photographs connected with the school.
The members of the class have written letters about the project in order to ask the readers of Crowborough Life for help. This one was written by Ellis Watts:

Mark Pollard, Deputy Headteacher, explains the exhibition will be used as a resource for the whole school:
We have been learning about the history of the school in Year 6 and are hoping to create a ‘History of St. John’s’ exhibition space. This would be used by the whole school to learn about our history as a school.
Mark Pollard, Deputy Headteacher and Year 6 teacher
The school is 181 years old and although they have a range of old photographs and certificates, but they are confident that former pupils and residents with an interest in local history, will have other interesting documents and photographs.
If you have anything you’d be happy to lend the school for the exhibition, or you’d be willing to tell the pupils your story connected to the school, then email the school office on office@stjohnsprimary.org or phone on 01892 661189.
