Hospital Fête seeks new volunteers

Crowborough Hospital Fete is seeking new volunteers to help out on the day. Helpers are needed for raffle ticket sales, stalls and to help set up and clear the site.

Preparations for the fete, which takes place in the hospital grounds on August Bank Holiday Monday, are in full swing. Attractions will include stalls, hot food, tea, cakes, live entertainment and art groups exhibiting and selling their work. Stalls will include clothes, toys, books, puzzles, collectables, bric-a-brac, furniture and plants. A special Kids’ Zone will make it a great day out for the whole family.

Organisers are hoping for warm dry weather and a good turnout. On the day, there will be a park-and-ride from Waitrose to the hospital.

Chantal Wilson, chairman of the Friends of Crowborough Hospital, the organisation behind the fete and fundraising for the hospital, said:

Every penny raised will go towards supporting patients with equipment and services to supplement what is provided by the NHS. This includes the Social Day Centre which the Friends now fund and manage completely.

Potential volunteers are asked to contact the organisers by email

The fete takes place on Monday 26th August in the hospital grounds in Southview Road, starting at 2pm.
