Crowborough Hockey Club’s Open Day on Saturday was a big success with almost 100 people turning-up to play.
The event was a mixture of new and old faces. The Club hope the success of the ladies team at the Olympics will bring new people to the sport and entice others back to it.
if you missed the Open Day it is not too late to get involved. At the moment in particular they particularly keen to strengthen their girls’ development section (ages 12-16).
This season three teams are playing in a new league following promotion and they also hope to retain the Sussex Vase.
Established in 1968 and the Club is still going from strength to strength. Junior training is held every Saturday morning at Beacon Academy’s Astroturf for youngsters who are keen to learn the game.
