Crowborough burglary linked to others in Uckfield & Hailsham on Friday night


Police are appealing for witnesses to three burglaries that happened in the Wealden District over the weekend.

Sussex Police BadgeA house in Wallis Close off Montargis Way was broken into between 6.15pm and 9.45pm on Friday (21st April).  It is thought the suspect or suspects climbed over a gate, before using an ornament to smash the rear glazed door, making off with jewellery.

A similar burglary occurred in New Barn Lane, Uckfield, between 7.15pm on Friday and 12 midnight on Saturday.  The suspect is thought to have jumped over a wall in Shepherds Way into the rear garden before smashing the rear patio door (serial 49 of 22/04).

Between 7.10pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, someone entered the rear garden of a house in Oak Tree Way, Hailsham, using an object from the garden to smash the rear glazed patio door to gain entrance, stealing cash, jewellery and two i-Pads.
