Crowborough Netball had it’s first ever Walking Netball fixture last Saturday (27th January) when a team from Eastbourne came up to Crowborough.
It was a friendly game, with the players (and umpires) getting to grips with some of the rules: no running or jumping (one foot on the ground at all times), being able to take an extra step. There were lots of goals, and the Crowborough team came out on top with a win!
Walking Netball is a slower version of the game, it is netball but at a walking pace. The game has been designed so that anyone can play regardless of age or fitness level. If you enjoyed netball when you last played, be that decades ago, you will enjoy it again now!
There is a regular session in Crowborough on a Thursday.
