East Sussex Public Health is responsible for commissioning specialist sexual health services, including testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections and contraception. This complements the services provided by GPs, allowing people with complex needs to access specialist support.

The current contract comes to an end next year, and before the Council publish the new service specification, they would like to hear from users about the accessibility and efficiency of their proposals.

East Sussex Sexual Health

What would change

The service will be online and telephone-based in the first instance. The sexual health website will act as the digital ‘front door’.

During the pandemic they have only been seeing people with complex needs at two main clinics in Hastings and Eastbourne. Part-time clinics in Hailsham, Uckfield, Bexhill and St Leonards, that stopped operating during the pandemic, will not reopen.
