Concerns about cancer services in Sussex

Healthwatch East Sussex are running a webinar next month for anyone with concerns about accessing cancer services during the Covid-19 crisis.

The free event is open to cancer patients and those that care for friends and family with cancer.

The webinar takes place on Thursday 11th June between 5pm and 6pm.  There will be a panel of clinical experts on hand to share information about cancer services and support services available across the county.

John Routledge, Director of Healthwatch East Sussex said:

Feedback from cancer patients and their families and friends who care for them show there is a great deal of anxiety about how the Covid crisis is impacting access to clinical and support services.

The webinar, organised with our partners across the county, is designed to answer those concerns and provide practical information for those affected by cancer or those caring for them.

The panel is made up of a clinical consultant at the Sussex Cancer Centre, a Macmillan nurse and a GP with a cancer specialism.

The organisers are encouraging people to submit their questions in advance.
