Collision yesterday on Hurtis Hill

Police are appealing for information following a collision in Crowborough yesterday (Wednesday 10th August).

Yellow police collision notice on Hurtis Hill in Crowborough, reads: "COLLISION (12:50 10 08 22) Contact Police CALL 101"

Officers were called to Hurtis Hill* near High Broom Road at about 5.50pm.

The incident involved a blue Jaguar X-Type vehicle and a pedestrian.

The woman pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and she was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where she remains.

Officers investigating the incident and are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision.

Anyone with relevant dashcam footage of the vehicle and the woman (at the time of the collision of immediately beforehand) are also asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit.

Information can be reported to Sussex Police via 101, online or by emailing collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, quoting serial 1050 of 10/08.
