Record amount donated to charity at Crowborough Fireworks

A record amount of £3,642.76 was donated to charity at last month’s Crowborough Fireworks display.

crowborough-fireworks-ftThe event is organised by Crowborough Town Council and costs tax payers over £20,000 to stage.  Spectators are encouraged to give a donation to the Mayor’s chosen charity for the year.

This years money will be divided between Chestnut Tree House and Taylor Made Dreams.  Both charities help and care for children who have life–shortening conditions.

The Mayor Cllr Ron Reed will present cheques to representatives from the charities at the Town Conference on 12th April 2017.

Thanks go to the Crowborough Lions and the Crowborough Bonfire and Carnival Society for shaking collection buckets.
