Charged with supplying drugs

Update: He pleaded guilty to both offences and was recalled to prison, having been on licence when they were committed.

Sentencing was adjourned to Maidstone Crown Court, but a date has not yet been fixed.

A suspected dealer has been remanded in custody following an arrest by Kent Police on Tuesday.

At around 8.45pm on 19th May, officers from the Tunbridge Well’s Community Policing Team stopped a suspicious vehicle on Eridge Road.

The car was searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act, leading to the seizure of more than £1,000 in cash, quantities of cannabis and two mobile phones.

An address linked to the suspect in Crowborough was then also searched, where further drugs were recovered. In total more than 220 grams of cannabis were seized.

Richard Wolvey, aged 36, of Vicarage Road in Southborough was arrested and later charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on 21st May.
