The MP for Wealden raised the matter of step-free access at train stations in Parliament yesterday as well as probing the Transport Minister about electrification of the Uckfield Line and a new depot in Crowborough.

New bridge and lifts at Crowborough Station

Network Rail have submitted plans showing the new footbridge at Crowborough Railway Station. The proposal is an Access for All Scheme which involves the erection of a bridge with stair and lift access to provide step free access to Platform 2.

Yesterday Wealden District Council approved plans to build a solar farm and electric vehicle charging facility on the side of the A22 in Uckfield.
