Vehicles vandalised in Crowborough

Last night many cars and vans were damaged in Crowborough, including those parked on Hurtis Hill, Fermor Road, Walshes Road and Western Road.

On Western Road the window of a care worker’s car was smashed and the wing mirror snapped-off.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said:

Police have received a number of reports of vehicles being damaged in the Crowborough area.

It is thought the damage occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Nothing appears to have been taken from inside any of the vehicles.

One incident was witnessed by a member of the public who described the suspects as two men in their late 20s driving a small black car.

Officers are looking into the matter. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police online or call 101.

Kent Police have also had reports of four vehicles on the A26 Eridge Road in Tunbridge Wells being damaged, by having windows smashed.

If anyone saw anything suspicious, please contact Sussex Police. If you have CCTV or a dashcam footage, you might want to review footage from last night (Tuesday 5th May).
