Budding sports journalists

Crowborough AFC are looking for a match reporter for their U21 squad.

This is a great opportunity for someone wanting a career in journalism, as it would enable the person to gain practical experience, which can be used when applying for university courses or job vacancies.

The individual would need a keen eye to note down events during play, such as goal scorers and substitutes.  As well as good communication skills to interview players & managers and prepare written match reports.

The U21 team play in the Suburban Football League and matches are mostly held on Saturday afternoon, with one or two midweek games throughout the season.

This is a voluntary position, but the person appointed would get to see games for free and transport could be arranged for away games.

Match reports will regularly appear on the club’s website, and will be sent to local press to use.

If you are interested in gaining some journalistic experience whilst helping out your local club, then send an email to malcom.boyes@gmail.com for further information.
