Baby harmed when car window smashed by bottle


Yesterday (Thursday 8th) at around 10pm, Police responded to an incident at Crowborough Railway Station.

A glass bottle was thrown at a vehicle by a group of lads in Station Approach, causing one of the windows to smash.

The vehicle contained a young child, who reportedly sustained minor facial injuries.

The gang were on foot and it is believed the left the area using the alley next to the tip, which comes out near The Wheatsheaf pub on Mount Pleasant.

Officers carried out a search of the area, however there was no trace of any suspects.

Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with any information about the incident is urged to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 1452 of 08/10.
