Elections to East Sussex County Council and for the Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner are being held on Thursday 6th May.

Five candidates hope to become the Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner.

They are the incumbent and four challengers.

The PCC holds the Chief Constable to account for the performance of the police force, effectively making the police answerable to the communities it serves.

At the last election in 2016, the turnout was just 23%.

East Sussex County Council

Ballot Box
Two people will be elected to represent Crowborough – one to serve “Crowborough North & Jarvis Brook” and another for “Crowborough South & St Johns”.

Those elected will help to decide how the authority spends over £1 million a day on services for residents.

Polling stations will be fitted with screens and hand sanitiser, with councils allocated extra money to help make voting safe.

Election Results

The results for the County Council elections will be declared on Friday 7th May. The result of the Police and Crime Commissioner will not be known until Monday 10th May.
