Changes were made to the 228/229 Bus Service last week when the last two journeys in the timetable were withdrawn.
The reason for the withdrawal was because the money from development contribution funding those specific journeys had run out.
Seaford & District took on the service last year when previous operator Arriva considered the service unviable.
East Sussex County Council said that regrettably use of these journeys had fallen to a very low level, often carrying no passengers at all and there was no prospect of any bus company continuing with the journeys without additional funding being provided.
The daytime 228/229 bus service is unchanged and continues to be funded by the County Council, with the section of route between Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells provided by Seaford & District on a commercial basis.
