Rising Star in the Baking World

A woman from Crowborough, who founded a company teaching people how to bake and decorate cakes, has been shortlisted as entrepreneur of the year.

Susi Witt from Rannoch Road had a successful legal career in the City, but Suzi-Wittmotherhood and the desire for a occupation she felt more passionate about, motivated her to find a business she could run from home.

Suzi taught herself how to decorate cakes, and soon she was receiving orders for birthday and wedding cakes.  Then she came first in an international cupcake competition and people began to ask her to teach them skills.  Initially running courses at home, her company Pretty Witty Cakes has developed into much bigger things over the last few years

She now works with a team of expert tutors, and uses video tutorials to demonstrate to thousands of people around the world, how they too can decorate amazing cakes.

Baking Industry Awards The Customer Forcus AwardSuzi is also a finalist for the Baking Industry Awards Best Customer Focus Award.  She told CrowboroughLife:

I am so excited about both of these awards.  To make it to the finals with so many entries across the UK is amazing.  I have worked really hard in setting up and establishing Pretty Witty Cakes and to receive such recognition is more than anyone could hope for.
