No off-peak trains during November: On Monday (2nd November) construction work starts on extending the two platforms at Crowborough Railway Station. It is part of a wider scheme to lengthen all 12 platforms on the Oxted line to enable Southern to run 10-coach trains between Uckfield and London Bridge.
The last London train from Crowborough will be 8.45am. There will be bus replacement services operating to take passengers to Edenbridge, Oxted or Haywards Heath to connect with the rail network. In addition tickets will be accepted on Southeastern trains from Tunbridge Wells.
There are other closures on the line planned between January to March next year.
See the article announcing the timing of the work for more background information: No off-peak trains.
