Normal off-peak service resumes on Monday (30th November)

No off-peak trains during November: On Monday (2nd November) construction work starts on extending the two platforms at Crowborough Railway Station.  It is part of a wider scheme to lengthen all 12 platforms on the Oxted line to enable Southern to run 10-coach trains between Uckfield and London Bridge.

Crowborough-Railway-StationThroughout November, between 9.20am and 4.40pm each day Monday to Friday the line will be closed south of Oxted.

The last London train from Crowborough will be 8.45am.  There will be bus replacement services operating to take passengers to Edenbridge, Oxted or Haywards Heath to connect with the rail network.    In addition tickets will be accepted on Southeastern trains from Tunbridge Wells.

In addition, passengers catching the last train of the day from London Bridge at 11.04pm should be aware that they will have to Follow-us-on-Twitterchange onto a bus to complete their journey to Crowborough.

There are other closures on the line planned between January to March next year.
