A New Politics – public meeting in Crowborough

A public meeting has been arranged in Crowborough on Friday 16th September to discuss whether cross-party cooperation could reinvigorate politics and provide a serious challenge to the Conservatives in Wealden.

A-New-PoliticsThe meeting at 7.30pm in All Saints Church Hall is entitled “A New Politics”.

Three speakers have been arranged.  Caroline Lucas is the Green MP for Brighton Pavillion.  Liberal Democrat Chris Bowers stood for election to parliament in Wealden the time before last and Neal Lawson who is Chair of Compass, a think tank on the left.

Chris Bowers stood against Caroline Lucas in 2015, but this year the pair edited the book ‘The Alternative: Towards a New Progressive Politics’ (along with Lisa Nandy Labour MP for Wigan).
