The line-up for a new festival to be held at Eridge Park near Crowborough was announced this evening.
On Saturday The Levellers top the bill with a set full of folk-rock sing along anthems. Basement Jaxx will headline the Friday night of the festival, bringing their genre-defining sound to the Main Stage, with hits like ‘Where’s Your Head At?’, ‘Romeo’, and ‘Red Alert’. Other acts include psychedelic rockers Super Furry Animals and hip hop pioneers De La Soul.
The new festival at Eridge Park will be more intimate than ‘Kendall Calling’ with a capacity of just 4,000. The new festival is being described by organisers as follows:
Forgotten Fields is a fresh new summer party piled high with our favourite artists and prizing principles of intimacy, experience and quality over quantity. Forgotten Fields features firm festival favourites with sing-a-long back catalogues, fine ales, world cuisine, extravagant site art, festival games, fancy dress frolics, boutique stalls & camp fire tales all set in picturesque English countryside.
‘Forgotten Fields’ takes place from 7th to 9th August. Tickets go on sale on Friday (27th March) at 9am. For more, see www.forgottenfields.co.uk.
‘High Definition Festival’ also returns to Eridge Park in July, after the dance festival was first held here in Sussex last year.
