Celebration of the work of East Sussex community groups

Last week Sussex Community Foundation welcomed 70 guests on behalf of the High Sheriff of East Sussex, to the Crowborough Community Centre, to hear about the amazing work these charities and volunary groups do in our communities.

Guests enjoyed an afternoon tea, and enjoyed praise from the High Sheriff Mrs Maureen Chowen, and her husband Michael, who took time to meet all guests.  It was also a great opportunity for community groups to network with others and discuss interaction or cooperation.

Some of the local organisations represented included Wealden Citizens Advice, Crowborough Community Association Clued-up.Info and Ditch the Slippers.

Sussex Community Foundation makes grants to charities and community groups in Sussex.  The Foundation has been supporting organisation such as the Rotherfield Friendship Group and the RVS Darby and Joan Crowborough Club on behalf of its generous donors for many years.
