Crowborough Bonfire and Carnival Society held their Annual General Meeting on Tuesday.
CrowboroughLife can announce that their chosen charities for this year to benefit from the carnival day street collection are as follows:
- Crowborough Community First Responders – they have 3 new responders they need to be kitted out with new equipment at a cost of £2,200 each
- Crowborough Foodbank – they need to desperately re locate their premises all under one roof and have a project cost of £11,000
- Crowborough Locomotive Society – they need financial help to continue their extension on the track to complete their project and need £10,000
- Wealdlink Community Bus – needing financial help to continue helping and transporting older people of Crowborough
Nickie Sutton, Secretary of the Crowborough Bonfire and Carnival Society, said:
We are hoping that this year’s street collection will contribute towards assisting all our chosen charities in their projects.
Carnival day is Saturday 9th September and we will now be working hard towards putting on another excellent day for all the people of Crowborough.
