Vote for a shop in the Christmas Window Competition

There are seven businesses in the Crowborough area in this year’s Wealden Best Dressed Window Competition.

Wealden District Council Best Dressed Window Competition 2017

The shop window that gets the most “Likes” on Facebook or retweets by 15th December will be crowned the winner.  After looking at all the entrants – vote for your favourite window display:

Many shops and businesses in Crowborough, Jarvis Brook and Rotherfield put in a great deal of effort to help make Christmas a fabulously festive time.

Wealden District Council are once again running a “People’s Choice Award” for the Best Dressed Shop Window.  Nominations should be submitted by 6th December, so there is still time for business owners to create an eye-catching display, and lots of ideas can be found on the Internet.   Photos of entries will be posted on the Council’s social media accounts for voting to commence.  The shop window that gets the most “Likes” on Facebook or retweets by 15th December will be crowned the winner.

The competition is a great way to raise the profile of the businesses, boost sales and reinforce the “Shop Local” message.

Councillor Roy Galley, Cabinet member for Economic Development, said:

I really encourage our shopkeepers and business owners to take part in the competition and get the credit that they deserve.  I also implore Wealden residents to make the most of their local stores when they are doing their Christmas shopping – it’s much more fun than going online, and with free car parking in Council-owned car parks, it’s cheaper and more convenient than going out-of-town.

To nominate a shop, email a photo of their stunning window display along with the business name, location, phone number and email address to communitydevelopment@wealden.gov.uk by 6pm on Wednesday 6th December.
