Terms & Conditions for Advertisers

Advertisements and advertorial copy are accepted by CrowboroughLife on the following terms:

  1. Adverts must comply with the UK Advertising Code (CAP Code).  The advertiser must ensure adverts are legal, decent, honest and truthful.
  2. All claims made in an adverts/advertorial must be capable of being supported, and appropriate evidence must be made available to CrowboroughLife upon request.
  3. Artwork is preferred in JPG, PDF or SWF formats at the correct size, or in proportion to the space booked.  Other file formats may be submitted by prior agreement.
  4. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the appropriate rights to use any photographs or other artwork you supply to CrowboroughLife to use.  You agree to indemnify CrowboroughLife for all reasonable costs arising out of a breach of any third party’s intellectual property rights.
  5. If you have requested that your advert/advertorial be written and designed by us, you need to ensure that you give us the correct information about your business by the stipulated time.  You will be responsible for checking and signing-off the work.
  6. CrowboroughLife reserves the right to advertise other businesses of a similar nature – unless an exclusive deal is agreed and paid for.
  7. We will not accept liability for any errors made by third parties or inaccurate instructions.
  8. Having an advert appear on the website does not constitute endorsement of the advertiser, its products or services.  We reserve editorial independence over content of news articles on the website.
  9. At no point will any of your contact details be shared or sold to any third parties.
  10. Invoices must be paid before the advert appears on the website or within 30 days of receiving the invoice, whichever is the sooner.  We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts (statutory interest).
  11. We reserve the right to increase rates or to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
